The students had an incredible careers-focused drop-down day this term, where they actively engaged in a variety of sessions led by professionals from different industries.
Max conducted a session on medical tech jobs, challenging the students to solve a medical tech problem. It was a captivating and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Jade and Antonio conducted a music session, which was a particularly enlightening experience for the students. As they gained an insight into the various career paths they could potentially embark upon in the music and arts sphere and they were afforded the opportunity to gain the practical experience of creating music using a DJ and electronic production tools.
We were fortunate to have the Waltham Forest Careers and Employability Advisor join us for an interview preparation session, which benefitted the Key Stage Three and year 10 students immensely. Year 11 students received valuable guidance on CV writing and college interview preparation. Neda shared insightful information concerning careers in the green sector, and the students enthusiastically tackled an architectural task related to the subject. Overall, it was an exceptional day of learning and exploration, offering the students a glimpse into diverse career opportunities.
