Attendance Data
hile we are an alternative provision, our pupils are expected to move back to mainstream school, or to a long term specialist provision. In order for the greatest impact of the work we do with children and their families, attendance is of paramount importance. We work closely with families and agencies to support high levels of attendance to ensure that pupils attend school daily. We do however recognise that for some pupils, particularly at the start of their placement, improving attendance is a gradual process.
We are proud that compared to other AP’s attendance at Hawkswood Secondary is significantly higher than the national average, we strive to ensure that attendance is moving towards that of mainstream schools.
